At my school we had a cross country at the starting line when we started the race I sprinted. I got in front I got tired but I kept on sprinting and then we came to our first turn and we got to our first hill and we got to the first opening, I got to the first teacher. I went to the first straight line and then I sprinted to the end were we had to turn around and then we went back to the starting line and went for the second lap.

marae visit.
Te Tapuwae o Rongokako Marine Reserve
Te Tapuwae o Rongokako Marine Reserve
Room 4 went to a marine reserve with some parents from our class. I traveled to the marine reserve with Koka Fly and a bunch of kids. Our guides Amy and Joe talked to us about safety and hand signals. Koka Rozie put us in groups of 4 then we walked down the beach to a place where there was lots of wildlife in the water.
We put our flippers and snorkel on and jumped in the water. When we were swimming I saw Barnacles, paua, kina, crayfish, mud fish and Neptune`s necklace. My dad was our group leader and he kept swimming off. I always caught him somehow though. One of the kids in our group kept swimming off and dad always sent me to get him. When we got cold we headed ashore.
While we waited for the rest of the groups we headed to the marine reserve entrance and had lunch. After lunch we headed back to school.

Leighton House
Leighton House
We were at school checking if we had all the equipment. I was a safety officer for a SVA (Student Volunteer Army) project. My job was to inspect everything to make sure it is safe. Koka Rozie put us in our groups that we went in. We arrived at Leighton House some minutes later.

I started to look around and I went to play a game with a person her name was Lynn. We played four in a row. I let her win all of the games. It was lots of fun and she was pretty good.
We sung Wainui E and then I said goodbye to the residents and staff. We went back to school and the next day we had a barbecue as a reward for going to volunteering.
