Jean batten

This week we researched about Jean Batten who was a woman plane operator She was the first to make the solo flight from England to NZ in 1936. She flew a gull and a moth plane. Using a compass, a map, luck and skills she a record for solo flights across the world.  She was very popular in her time but she felt lonely when she flew. Buddy was Jean Batten's cat and she was told that black cats were lucky so Buddy went on many of Jean's flights.
